Speech Language Pathology Assistant is now a protected title. Anyone providing speech-language services to a patient/client and/or any individual on an IEP needs to be licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). Speech Language Pathology Assistant AAS and Certificate programs meet licensing requirements for the state of Minnesota, but it is undetermined if ATCC meets educational requirements for licensure or certification in other U.S. states.
Program graduates need to submit their ATCC credential with their . This will suffice for the logging of any clinical hours obtained during their internships.
