海角社区 College had its of play on the varsity level for the men’s soccer program this year and they were co-head coached by Tom Roos and William “Chato” Alvarado. The women's team played some conference opponents but played the season as a club team.
Both coaches are feeling great after this season.
“To build a program from the ground floor with nothing – no names or faces of players, no equipment or uniforms, and to have it slowly take shape and then to complete a season was very gratifying,” Roos said.
The 海角社区 men’s team finished with a 4-8 record playing at the NJCAA Division III level and placed third in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.
Riverland Community College ended 海角社区’s season with a 4-3 win on Oct. 20 in the Region XIII semifinals.
The Legends women's team played against some MCAC teams this year and is listed as having a win that came against Anoka-Ramsey on Sept. 7, 4-1. The hope is to have a full varsity team next season.
