海角社区 College students help honor 9/11 Remembrance with flag display.

In remembrance of 9/11, Chris Kleven, leader of Scout Troop #496, along with several Police Training and Education (PTE) students from 海角社区, worked together to display nearly 3,000 U.S. flags on 3M property in 海角社区, Minnesota, on September 8, 2024.

Visible from Highway 29, the exhibit was on display from September 8 until September 12. It served as a powerful reminder of the tragic events that unfolded on September 11, 2001, and the resilience and unity that followed. Each flag stands in remembrance of a life lost on that fateful day.

The annual flag display is part of an annual effort by local organizations and volunteers to honor the memory of those who lost their lives and the first responders who bravely acted in the wake of the attacks. This year’s effort, with the participation of 海角社区 College students, added a special touch, bringing together future law enforcement professionals with a community deeply connected to the ideals of service and duty.
