POLICY STATEMENT

海角社区 Technical and Community College (ATCC) participates in Title IV funding through programs such as Federal Pell Grants and Federal Direct Loans. This participation subjects ATCC to the requirements of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965 and its subsequent reauthorizations by Congress. The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008 requires institutions participating in federally funded financial aid programs to make information about the institution available to the public. That includes current and prospective students and student loan borrowers, as well as current employees.

This information is intended to provide students with important consumer information to support various aspects of their experience at ATCC, while also ensuring compliance with the requirements of the HEA and HEOA.

ATCC is committed to providing financial aid to students to help cover the cost of education which includes tuition and fees, books and supplies, food and housing, transportation, and personal expenses.

Financial aid includes grants, scholarships, loans, and student employment. Please refer to the ATCC Financial Aid website for further information regarding financial aid.

ATCC financial aid staff are available for loan counseling before offering, recommending, arranging, signing-up, disbursing, or enrolling students for student loans.

ATCC discloses the following information to students upon request:

  • student loan Cohort Default Rates (CDR);
  • the percentage of students who borrow; and
  • how the institution’s CDR compares to the national average

If ATCC’s CDR is greater than the national average CDR, students will be provided that information as well as loan repayment data.
